As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Blockchain Engineering team, you will design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. We are looking for highly motivated and skilled technologists to join JPMorgan’s ground-breaking and innovative Onyx technology team..

Job responsibilities

• Designs systems with knowledge on multiple design patterns.
• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
• Builds Blockchain based solutions using software engineering best practices.
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
• Collaborates and partners with global blockchain engineering and product teams.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Hands on experience as a developer in large and complex distributed computing environments.
• Strong command on computer science fundamentals.
• Strong object oriented programming background in the Java 11 and above, API Development, Microservices, etc.
• Experience in working on AWS Cloud Platform with knowledge on EC2, S3, EKS etc
• Experience in deploying applications on Public Cloud Kubernetes environment using Helm charts, etc.
• Experience in React Js
• Knowledge in distributed systems computing techniques, multi-threading and developing concurrent applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-starter that requires minimal supervision having good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Good to have experience in Python Application Development.
• Good to have experience of building Blockchain based applications / smart contract using Solidity will be a huge advantage.
• Working knowledge of Messaging technologies
• Preferably Kafka.
• SQL, No-SQL Database knowledge (My SQL, PostgreSQL).
