Job Summary
As a Tax Operations Supervisor within the Tax Operations team, you will review and validate IRS forms and IDs, certify accounts subject to federal income tax withholding, and ensure timely, accurate completion of customer requests under defined procedures and controls. You will exercise sound judgment on business‑critical scenarios, collaborate frequently with internal partners, and drive adherence to quality and SLA commitments. You will champion due diligence, foster a high‑performing team culture, and lead continuous process improvement and mapping initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Verify IRS forms W‑8/W‑9, tax documents, and identification for completeness and accuracy.
- Certify accounts subject to federal income tax withholding in line with applicable policies and regulations.
- Validate customer‑submitted regulatory documents and maintain appropriate evidentiary records.
- Ensure timely completion of customer requests and tax certifications by adhering to procedures, guidelines, and defined processing parameters.
- Perform due diligence across all processing steps, execute quality checks, and meet daily quantity, quality, and SLA standards.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the team while cultivating a strong, positive culture; communicate frequently with internal business partners to resolve issues.
- Decide on handling approaches for diverse, business‑critical scenarios; apply domain knowledge to identify opportunities, diagnose issues, determine solutions, and drive process improvements including process mapping.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 6+ years total experience with at least 2+ years in relevant and supervisory capacities; working knowledge of US tax forms W‑8 and W‑9.
- Demonstrated controls and risk management capability with strong knowledge of bank control policies and standards; consistent execution against accuracy, quality, and timeliness expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; proven ability to collaborate and partner across departments and senior management; effective time management and team‑based delivery track record.
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience with MS Project and Share Point; experience in process improvement and process mapping; ability to work rotational shifts across 24x5 (Mon–Fri) aligned to the US calendar and holidays in India, per policy.
