The Structured Equity Financing (SEF) desk originates, structures, and risk‑manages financing transactions for a wide variety of J.P. Morgan clients, including private equity funds, hedge funds, asset managers, corporates, and family offices. You will develop knowledge across fund financing products—capital call/subscription facilities, NAV loans, equity margin loans, and hedge fund structured financing—while working in a team that emphasizes creativity, innovation, and continuous skill development.

Job summary

As an Associate on SEF within Global Equities, you will support the full transaction risk lifecycle from diligence through ongoing portfolio management. You will collaborate globally across the desk, risk, legal, technology/QR and regulatory partners; contribute to platform and technology initiatives; and help optimize the deployment of financial and operational resources.

Job responsibilities

• Support portfolio management of existing exposures, including covenant monitoring, risk tracking, performance reporting and asset verification
• Conduct periodic portfolio reviews across select deal types, exposures, individual transactions and emerging risks
• Contribute to platform and technology development to enhance deal execution, analytics, and workflow efficiency.
• Assist with the internal day-to-day management of trading desk processes (PnL, funding, transaction booking)
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including global desk partners, risk, and legal/regulatory teams, to review risks and progress on projects
