We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our Taiwan Payments team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java, Unix, and Oracle Database, preferably with vendor management and communication skills.
As a Software Engineer I at JPMorgan Chase within the Payments Technology Team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components to the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an entry-level member of a software engineering team, you execute basic software solutions through the design, development, and troubleshooting of a single technical area within a business function, while gaining skills and experience to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Taiwan payments business operations, ensuring smooth and reliable service.
- Support and maintain Taiwan local applications, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Participate in application rebuild in new Data Center.
- Manage and follow up on incidents and problems related to Global, Regional Applications and Local Vendor Applications.
- Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution, service improvement, and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions and enhancements.
- Document technical procedures, incident reports, and support activities.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 2 years of hands-on experience with Java and Unix environments.
- Experience with Oracle Database and SQL.
- Experience in vendor management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Experience in the payments or financial services industry is a plus.
