- As a Trade Support
- Analyst/Associate within the Equity Derivatives Middle Office team, you will provide operational support to traders, focusing on the Asia-Pacific volatility trading business. You will maintain strict controls over daily trading activities and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will collaborate with trading, sales, client servicing, and other support teams to resolve queries and drive process improvements. You will be empowered to contribute to strategic initiatives and help shape the future of Equity Derivatives Operations.
Our team works closely with trading desks, business managers, product control, legal, compliance, settlement, and control teams to deliver best-in-class operational support. Job responsibilities
- Capture and book equity derivatives trades, including listed futures, options, swaps, exchange-traded funds, and other products
- Ensure all transactions are captured accurately and timely in risk management systems
- Complete intraday and end-of-day processes, including reconciliation checks and book management
- Collaborate with operations and infrastructure groups to support a unified team approach
- Communicate clearly and concisely with support teams to resolve queries efficiently
- Perform and sign off on all controls diligently and on time
- Fulfill regulatory obligations and participate in regulatory changes
- Partner with sales, trading, and business management to support new business opportunities and design controls
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and process improvements
- Build in-depth understanding of trading structures from financial and operational perspectives
- Maintain high standards of client service while adhering to controls and policies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant Middle Office function supporting role covering equity derivatives
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn complex systems architecture
- Product knowledge of equity derivatives, particularly Swaps, Options, Futures, and Exchange-traded Funds
- Understanding of front-to-back operations processes, including confirmations, settlements, and regulatory reporting
- Awareness of infrastructure groups such as finance, market risk, credit risk, operational risk, legal, and collateral
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude, business acumen, and professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment
- Team player able to work in a dynamic and evolving environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Ability to learn complex systems architecture quickly
- Knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications or SQL
- Experience with digital tools such as Xceptor, Alteryx, Tableau, or robotics
- Proficiency in another language, such as Mandarin will be beneficial to communicate with stakeholders in the Greater China region
