Join J.P. Morgan Asset Management as a Private Wealth Alternative Specialist and play a pivotal role in advancing our Private Wealth Alternatives (PWA) business in APAC.
As a Vice President in the South Asia Private Wealth Alternatives based in Singapore, you will drive the development and distribution of Alternatives strategies to unlock new assets under management (AUM) within the Private Wealth channel, foster deep client engagement in partnership with distribution partners, and collaborate with global counterparts to deliver J.P. Morgan’s best-in-class alternative investment solutions. Your expertise will help position J.P. Morgan Asset Management as the partner of choice in South Asia’s dynamic and rapidly expanding private wealth market.
Job responsibilities:
- Report to the Head of South Asia for PWA APAC, you will assist with formulation and implementation of strategic plans, encompassing client partnership and engagement, demand generation, sales planning, product development, and brand positioning, to enhance J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s market presence in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on private markets and Alternatives products, driving the placement and adoption of J.P. Morgan Asset Management's Alternatives offerings among Private Wealth clients.
- Formulate and execute business development initiatives alongside sales partners, leveraging a deep understanding of client needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape to position J.P. Morgan Asset Management as the Alternatives partner of choice.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, including distribution, investment teams, marketing, and business management, ensuring alignment with regional priorities and accountability to senior management.
- Leverage data and technology to enhance business development efforts, streamline operations, and achieve operational efficiencies.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience within a financial services company, with a focus on client engagement, distribution, investment and product specialist functions.
- Bachelor Degree in Finance or Economics or related fields
- Extensive knowledge and successful track record in Alternatives, with a deep understanding of product and industry dynamics and experience in fundraising within South Asia markets.
- Dynamic team player with strong interpersonal skills showcasing the ability to independently engage multiple stakeholders, driving innovation and growth.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and leverage synergies with global counterparts, fostering a cohesive and integrated approach.
- Strong communicator and problem solver, capable of navigating complex client needs and aligning processes to deliver exceptional service independently.
- A client-focused mindset with the ability to tailor solutions to meet the unique needs of financial intermediaries.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- CFA or CAIA certification is a plus.
- Language skills in Mandarin, Thai and Bahasa are an additional merit, as you will interact with clients based in China, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
