Job summary:

The Vice President for Real Assets & Diversifiers Research on the Asset Management Multi-Asset Solutions Research team will develop investment views and identify opportunities across real estate, transportation, commodities (including gold), and other diversifiers for J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Multi-Asset Solutions investment team. The role partners closely with portfolio managers and the quant team to turn data-driven insights into actionable investment recommendations. There may also be an opportunity to contribute to research on J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s long-term capital market assumptions.

Job responsibilities:

  • Generate and apply fundamental frameworks to form investment views across real assets and diversifiers, including real estate, transportation, infrastructure, and commodities including gold.

  • Produce clear, actionable research through written products and presentations by leveraging top-down, bottoms-up, and quantitative approaches.

  • Build models and dashboards to track asset fundamentals and key themes.

  • Collaborate with PMs and research analysts to evaluate cross-asset implications, undertake scenario analyses, and help assess risk.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in real assets/commodities or multi-asset research, ideally at a buy-side investing firm.

  • Strong grasp of fundamentals, valuations, and market mechanics for real assets and diversifiers.

  • Strong ability to connect fundamental research to multi-asset investing, including determining entry/exit, sizing, hedging, and more.

  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative abilities; proficiency in data and modeling tools (Excel; Python or R; familiarity with market data platforms).

  • Clear and concise written and oral communication; comfortable presenting to investment teams under time constraints; collaborative, team-oriented, and high attention to detail.

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • CFA preferred.
