Within Asset Management (AM), the Global Product Strategy and Development team helps to manage and position AM’s global investment product suite. As part of this broader group, Product Strategy is responsible for providing timely competitive intelligence on flows, asset growth, product innovation and investment performance in order to uncover opportunities as well as inform and support the firm’s strategic agenda. The team works with product development, distribution, investment and marketing teams to position and differentiate AM’s investment product range in a way that aligns with market events and resonates with clients.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Product Strategist to join our team, focusing on the defined contribution market and model portfolios. This role will be instrumental in shaping our product roadmap, driving innovation, and conducting competitive landscaping to ensure our offerings remain at the forefront of the industry.
Job responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:

Lead the strategy and execution of the product roadmap for defined contribution market and model portfolios, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders and client needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including portfolio management, marketing, and client advisors, to enhance product offerings and drive innovation. Examples of this include considering alternative investments within Defined Contribution offerings or model portfolios.

Act as a subject matter expert and thought leadership partner within the Retirement Leadership and Models Teams.

Represent J.P. Morgan’s product roadmap and innovation for Defined Contribution and Model Portfolios at industry events.
Competitive Analysis & Training:

Assess emerging trends and regulatory changes to develop views and proactively guide product strategy.

Stay informed on innovations by engaging in key industry forums.

Provide competitive insights and support internal training on retirement strategies and models.
Required skills, qualifications and capabilities:
-
10-12 years of experience in product strategy, product management, or a related role within the financial services industry, with a focus on defined contribution plans and model portfolios.

Strong understanding of the Defined Contribution and Model Portfolios markets, investment products, and regulatory environment.

Proven track record of developing and executing successful product strategies.

Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Strong project management, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred skills, qualifications and capabilities:

CFA designation is a plus

Strong experience in the retirement space a plus
