As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Banking Tech Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using C# and .NET ecosystem, build scalable solutions with both .NET Framework and modern .NET (6/7/8+), develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems and implement clean code principles and industry-standard design patterns
- Work with various database technologies including SQL and NoSQL solutions, design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access patterns, implement data persistence layers using Entity Framework, Dapper, or native drivers .
- Develop APIs that seamlessly integrate with modern JavaScript applications, participate in full-stack development when required and ensure responsive and user-friendly application interfaces.
- Work within Agile/Scrum teams with iterative development cycles, participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment and contribute to DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
- Write unit tests, integration tests, and automated test suites, participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards and implement monitoring and observability solutions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- At least 8 years of experience in similar roles.
- Proficiency in C# programming language, experience with .NET Framework and/or modern .NET (Core/5+)
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Knowledge of software design patterns and familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Database Knowledge (Any of the following): SQL Databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Redis, Cassandra). Understanding of database design principles and query optimization and experience with ORM frameworks (Entity Framework, Dapper) preferred
- Knowledge of Frontend Integration (Any of the following): React (Hooks, components, state management, modern React patterns), Angular (Components, services, TypeScript, RxJS). Understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals and experience with REST API consumption and integration.
- Experience in Agile & DevOps Practices: experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools, familiarity with automated testing and deployment pipelines and knowledge of DevOps practices and collaborative development.
- Fluent in English
