Join a high-impact Markets Asset Servicing team delivering accuracy, speed, and control across our Fixed Income business. Partner with trading desks, finance, and operations while engaging external clients, custodians, agents, and depositories. Lead reconciliation excellence that reduces risk, improves controls, and elevates client experience.
As a Team Lead within Markets Asset Servicing, you oversee Nostro, Depot, and wash breaks reconciliation across the Fixed Income business. You ensure timely, precise processing for income events and break resolution while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. You drive operational excellence through controls, automation, KPI/KRI management, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure pre-event reconciliation and pay-date processing for income events including dividends, coupons, and redemptions.
- Perform oversight to reconcile cash, wash, suspense, and control account breaks promptly; drive match-off accuracy and eliminate aged items.
- Manage system feed issues and late or incorrect investigations through to full resolution.
- Ensure accurate redemption calculations and timely settlement with counterparties.
- Proactively manage KPIs and KRIs, analyzing trends and executing corrective actions.
- Effectively lead the team to deliver milestones, mitigating risks and clearing bottlenecks.
- Communicate succinct updates to senior management and escalate issues in a timely manner.
- Periodically review end-to-end processes, identify gaps, and coordinate remediation with control partners.
- Drive automation using firmwide process-transformation tools to enhance efficiency, controls, and client outcomes.
- Provide leadership by setting clear goals, strategies, and accountability for the function.
- Partner with BAU domain leads to execute growth and change plans, including platform migrations, people development, and daily operations.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bring 5+ years of asset servicing experience covering income and/or corporate actions.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex operational issues.
- Exercise sound judgment and decision-making; deliver practical, solutions-oriented outcomes.
- Identify, investigate, and escalate key issues independently; develop actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels; adapt to changing priorities.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with senior management and external partners.
- Apply a rigorous control mindset with attention to detail, ownership, and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Lead Nostro, Depot, and wash breaks reconciliation across Fixed Income products.
- Utilize KPI/KRI frameworks to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Leverage experience with platform migrations and change management in operations.
- Harness process automation and transformation tools to streamline workflows and reduce risk.
- Coordinate with clients, custodians, agents, depositories, and third-party providers to resolve issues.
- Navigate cash, stock, and suspense break investigation and match-off end-to-end.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering accountability and operational excellence.
