As a Vice President in the Product Development function, you will have opportunities to contribute to the development and optimization of the broader AFS technology platform.
You will become part of a team of skilled waterfall developers, that look after the implementation and execution of waterfall solutions for AFS clients. You should possess strong communication skills and will be required to engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams to build out waterfall models for new onboardings, maintain existing waterfall models, scope out requirements, and participate in the development of the waterfall function and platform. As part of the wider Product Development function, there will be opportunities to contribute to the development and optimization of the broader AFS technology platform.
Job responsibilities- Implement bespoke waterfall solutions for our AFS Clients, working closely with client services and fund accounting teams.
- Onboard new Alternative funds onto Cascade (waterfall system) and maintain existing models.
- Analyse LPAs and Side-Letters to derive calculation methodology of distributions and carried interests, and select the most appropriate model.
- Contribute to the improvement of the strategic waterfall platform, focusing on efficiency, processes, and controls, with quality control procedures to ensure solutions are defect free.
- Collaborate with the data teams to ensure data hygiene in Investran for funds to be compatible with respective waterfall solutions.
- Work with fund accounting teams during fund on-boarding to devise accounting strategies compatible with respective waterfall solutions.
- Present an overview of our waterfall service offering to existing and prospective clients.
- Provide continued post on-boarding support to ensure smooth functioning of waterfall solutions.
- Work with the reporting team to devise appropriate reporting solutions.
- Participate in development of the broader AFS technology platform.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills- 10+ years relevant experience developing fee models development and/or working within alternative funds. - Strong Leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact at all levels (both internal and client)
- Self-starter with a proven track record in Alternative fund administration
- Deep techno-functional expertise of FIS Investran and Deloitte Cascade.
- Experience in supporting Alternative fund administration.
- Expert knowledge of PE/AFS waterfall calculations, including the ability to analyze LPAs.
- Strong organisational skills to clearly gather and document requirements with fund accountant and client services.
- Competency to convert the requirements into appropriate technical solutions.
- Proven financial and analytical skillset.
- Robust organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage many tasks at once in a structured manner
- An ability to work in teams distributed across the globe and travel to onshore offices
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills- Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
