As an Associate on the Commercial Banking event strategy team, you will support the strategy, planning, and execution of national proprietary events and third party sponsorships. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects with a focus on data analysis, event coordination, and content development, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful experiences for clients and partners.
Job responsibilities
- Proactively partner with the Event Production team to support the development and execution of best-in-class event and sponsorship programming.
- Effectively provide hands-on support for events, including logistics, attendee management, and on-site execution to engage executive clients.
- Collaboratively assist Strategy Managers with crafting differentiated agendas, content, and supporting speaker selection and preparation.
- Creatively aid in the development and execution of compelling invites and event collateral, including recaps, takeaways, and client stories.
- Diligently collect, clean, and validate event-related data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy.
- Consistently update budgets, secure required approvals, document variances, and process payments for events and sponsorships.
- Insightfully analyze RSVP trends, attendance, and engagement metrics to inform and optimize event strategy.
- Strategically participate in annual planning, emphasizing fresh formats and differentiated content.
- Reliably contribute to completion of scorecards for each program to capture and communicate key takeaways.
- Flexibly assist in various ad hoc projects and events to support client and prospect engagement, raising hand for cross-team initiatives.
- Thoroughly develop and exhibit an understanding of unique industry business, tailoring approach to each team accordingly.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 4+ years of experience in event management, marketing, or communications
- Requires travel (~15-20% of time) and off-hours event execution, including higher volume during busy seasons
- Go-getter attitude, ready to contribute to a variety of projects, events and sponsorships
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Exceptional executive presence and professionalism when interacting with senior leaders and clients; able to build trust and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong sense of time management, prioritization and ability to execute against deliverables with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in a matrix management organization structure
- Ability to build reporting, analyze data and streamline information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs, especially Power
Point and Excel:
Preferred skills:
- Familiarity with Workfront and/or Stova is a plus.
- Banking, financial services preferred.
