The Global Real Estate (GRE) team consists of more than 600 employees, executing 6,000 capital projects per year globally totaling nearly $8 billion a year in design, construction and capital investment.

As the Head of Workplace within the Global Real Estate Design & Construction team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative workplace strategies that align with our business objectives. Your role will also encompass enhancing the employee experience across our global portfolio. A significant aspect of your position will involve collaborating with various teams – including CAO, Global Design, Global Technology, CAO Product, Human Resources, Employee Experience – to create environments that support our organizational goals and significantly contribute to the overall success of our business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive workplace strategy aligned to the company’s vision, mission, and business objectives, grounded in a deep understanding of business, human capital, and operational needs; serve as a thought leader and represent the company at industry events. (Combined the first two bullets into one integrated strategy and thought-leadership item.)
  • Own, syndicate, and evolve global workplace planning guidelines and KPIs that align with the strategy, ensuring global consistency with regional and LOB adaptations.
  • Incorporate the latest technology and workplace trends to transform the workplace experience; monitor and evaluate initiative effectiveness using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Present industry-leading practices and data-informed recommendations to senior leadership to drive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Global Real Estate (GRE) regions on site-level location planning to drive footprint and portfolio decisions with clear short- and long-term goals.
  • Oversee the global test-fit process to ensure space planning and design solutions meet organizational needs and optimize space utilization.
  • Partner with the Head of Global Design to design and implement workplace solutions that enhance employee engagement, productivity, and well-being.
  • Research, understand, and recommend emerging workplace trends and technology tools—covering headcount and occupancy analytics, workplace planning, and benchmarking—to inform strategy decisions.( Combined the “emerging trends/technology tools” and the “research and analysis on industry trends” items into a single research-and-recommendations bullet)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (CAO, Global Technology, CAO Product, Human Resources, Employee Experience) to ensure alignment and integration of workplace initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external partners (architects, designers, consultants) to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions; co-develop and implement change management strategies for successful adoption of new initiatives.
  • Partner with internal teams to establish a unified workplace analytics platform (occupancy, utilization, user feedback) as the trusted source for data-driven design.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in workplace strategy, corporate real estate, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of workplace trends, space planning, and design principles.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in change management and driving organizational transformation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve strategic goals.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Advanced degree preferred.
