DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years (36 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Architect, Web Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years (60 months) of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Architect, Web Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Writing shell scripts to automate routine tasks on Linux or Unix systems; Building applications using Object-Relational Mapping tools including Hibernate; Developing software that deploys as a REST API in a microservices environment; Designing and building telemetry and usage tracking solutions to improve BI tool governance and monitoring; Developing software using Spring and Spring Boot; Resolving application dependencies using Maven or Gradle; Building applications that utilize JSON or XML formatted data files or service payloads for data transfers; Performing exploratory data analysis within large enterprise databases to extract, clean, transform, and load data; Performing data manipulation, data structuring, data design flows, and query optimization using SQL and Python; Using Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration; Implementing microservices supporting payment applications using NodeJS, Java, and React; Deploying AWS cloud services using Terraform for infrastructure management; Creating responsive front-end components using React, Angular, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, and Javascript; Utilizing Typescript for enhanced JavaScript development; Implementing real-time data streaming using Apache Kafka; Managing and analyzing data using SQL and MongoDB; Setting up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; Automating testing using Cucumber and Unit Testing; Following Agile SDLC methodologies for iterative development; Designing application architecture; Optimizing infrastructure using infrastructure architecture disciplines; Managing resources on the cloud.
