DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: developing software applications using Agile methodologies; building responsive user interfaces using the React framework and CSS and SCSS stylings to support a range of devices; working with Javascript in conjunction with JEST and Cypress to develop test and behavioral driven maintainable front-end applications; utilizing d3.js and Javascript to create widgets and charts to visualize customer transactions such as weekly and monthly expenses; working with Java using Spring Boot framework to build presentational micro- services; building RESTful web services in SpringBoot and NodeJS; defining and validating JSON schemas used as payload by the RESTful APIs; using Python to develop automated functional test Scripts and acceptance tests for the RESTful APIs developed; and working with Analytics using open telemetry with Javascript to collect analytics event data on web applications.

Job Location: 450 W 33rd Street, New York, NY 10001.

Full-Time. Salary: $167,100 - $185,000 per year.
