As a Technology Support Associate within the Commercial and Investment Bank, Markets Technology at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability and reliability of our vital business applications and their supporting infrastructure. You will act as the main point of contact for business users, addressing all technical and business solution inquiries. In this capacity, you will be tasked with implementing key technology solutions across diverse technical domains to advance the firm's business goals. Furthermore, you will engage in various application-related projects and contribute to the execution of regulatory and compliance controls. This position is located in Singapore as a part of the Singapore Commercial and Investment Bank Markets Technology team.

Job responsibilities

  • Provide regular reports on overall application status and planned changes to stakeholders.
  • Report and follow-up incidents and root cause analysis impact to local business and escalate for regulatory reporting.
  • Work collaboratively in Southeast Asia Branches teams to support local business demands and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
  • Support local application infrastructure and services provided by regulator and/or 3rd parties providers, ensure the availability and performance as agreed SLA and maintain resiliency as per agreed RTO with business.
  • Support location-specific resiliency, audit, and compliance activities from local CIB Tech perspective.
  • Assess risks and controls including server hygiene, vulnerability & security management, recognize gaps in processes, and escalate action plans.
  • Act as the primary liaison between technology, businesses, vendors, and regulators.
  • Lead and drive the identification and implementation of automation opportunities across the application and infrastructure environment.
  • Maintain strong partnership with different business stakeholders to ensure understanding of business requirements, work out project scope/plan, and prioritize time and resources.
  • Maintain strong linkage with regional/global teams to leverage good practices, processes, functions, and resources.
  • Own local applications as local owner, support the availability and stability of the local/regional/global technology infrastructure/vendor platform.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or other relevant majors.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in financial services.
  • Proven experience supporting Market Technology, especially Equities front office and back-office systems.
  • Good communication skill is essential to liaise with vendors and regulators
  • Tactical thinking and strong analytical skills with high and fast learning capability.
  • Familiar with Incident, Problem & Change Management processes and tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, with an ability to remain calm under pressure while prioritizing workloads to meet business expectations.
  • Willing to participate in occasional maintenance and releases on weekends and ad-hoc support after office hour.
  • Experience using monitoring tools & scheduling tools for production support and some level of knowledge of network infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in Southeast Asia markets such as Bursa Malaysia, PSE, IDX, and SET is highly preferred, along with a background in supporting Equities Trading and Back Office system
  • Prior experience as a project manager for technology projects is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux/SQL/Python/VBA/Scripting languages; coding skills are preferable.
  • Experience coordinating and managing projects, preferably in a regional context.
