Job Description:

A critical mid‑management role responsible for end‑to‑end supply chain planning, inventory management, IBP leadership, and operational excellence for the

Surgery Cluster: (WCH), Biosurgery (BIO), and (AESS).

The role bridges execution and strategy by driving planning rigor, digital analytics, service performance, and cross‑functional alignment across Commercial, RA/QA, Deliver, Finance, and APAC supply chain partners.

Key responsibilities:

  • 1. Integrated Planning & IBP Ownership

  • Lead the IBP cycle for WCH, BIO & AESS, consolidating demand, risk/opportunity assessment, and presenting recommendations to senior leaders.

  • Translate business intelligence (market shifts, competitor activity, tenders, NPI/LCM) into aligned forecasts and supply plans.

  • Ensure franchise-level alignment with APAC and India Med Tech Supply Chain strategies.

  • 2. Demand, Supply & Inventory Management

  • Own the statistical forecast and manage planning KPIs (MAPE, bias, accuracy).

  • Build, monitor, and optimize inventory strategy for the Surgery cluster—ensuring compliance with DOS, OTIF@D, SLOB, ESO, and backorder targets.

  • Coordinate replenishments with Import, Deliver, Warehousing, Regulatory, Freight Forwarders ensuring timely availability and compliance.

  • 3. Analytics, Digital Enablement & MIS

  • Drive data-led decision making by developing advanced dashboards (Excel/Power BI) for forecast performance, supply health, tenders, and inventory analytics.

  • Introduce digital and automation initiatives to elevate planning maturity and scenario modelling.

  • 4. Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Commercial Teams (WCH, BIO, AESS) to ensure flow of market intelligence and align demand expectations.

  • Partner with RA, QA, Legal, Finance, and Deliver to ensure high-quality, compliant supply chain operations.

  • Represent the Surgery Supply Chain in cross-functional governance forums.

  • 5. Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead and develop analysts within the Surgery supply chain team.

  • Build planning, analytics, and stakeholder management capability to create a strong internal talent pipeline.

  • 6. Compliance, Quality & Field Action Support

  • Ensure all planning and inventory processes meet SOX, Quality, and Regulatory requirements.

  • Support Field Actions (e.g., Recalls, Safety Alerts) with timely execution and documentation.

Required Qualification and Core Competencies for the role:

  • Education

  • Engineering or Supply Chain bachelor’s degree required.

  • MBA (Operations/Supply Chain) preferred.

  • Experience

  • 8–10 years of experience in supply chain, with exposure to demand planning, supply planning, or analytics.

  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or other regulated sectors preferred.

  • Proven capability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and lead small teams.

  • Technical Skills

  • Strong grasp of IBP/S&OP, statistical forecasting, and planning systems.

  • Advanced Excel; familiarity with Power BI or similar analytics tools.

  • Knowledge of SC KPIs: OTIF@D, DOS, MAPE, ESO, SLOB, Inventory Turns, Backorders.

  • Leadership Skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to operate under ambiguity and drive results.

  • Proven ability to influence without authority across functions.
