Business Unit & Strategy Lead (Oncology) for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (JJIM), Singapore
At Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (JJIM), we are leading where medicine is going and creating a future where disease is a thing of the past. We have a thriving Oncology business in Singapore with a focus on Haematology and Solid Tumor and an exciting pipeline.
As Business Unit & Strategy Lead (Oncology) for JJIM Singapore, you will oversee the commercial function for our Oncology franchise with direct reporting lines across both marketing and sales. You will assume the role of leader and key decision maker for our Singapore Oncology business.
You will be responsible for overseeing all marketing and sales activities, developing commercial strategy, providing insightful market analysis and ensuring alignment with regional/global strategy where necessary. You will manage the franchise budget and lead the broader Oncology cross-functional team.
You will play a critical role in partnering with our Market Access function to shape our Oncology Access strategy for Singapore.
In addition, you will focus on building organizational capabilities through investment in people, processes and technology to cultivate accelerated and sustainable growth. This requires you to lead and motivate our commercial and cross-functional teams to deliver both short and long-term results in this dynamic market.
Key responsibilities

Set a compelling vision and strategic direction to drive competitiveness and to deliver business results and sustainable growth for the Singapore Oncology business.

Direct reporting lines across the commercial function, responsible for managing both the marketing and sales team.

Design and implement marketing strategy, objectives and tactics in close partnership with the Oncology cross-functional team.

Formulate and communicate sales forecasts, set targets and incentives and coach the sales team to drive strong execution.

Portfolio optimization for the Oncology TA to ensure NPIs are launched strategically, in the optimal sequence and in a timely manner.

Develop and monitor Oncology TA budget (both A&P and people headcount) with P&L responsibility and ownership of the business unit success.

Develop strong relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, industry associations and government representatives to achieve objectives of the Oncology business.

Partner closely with the Market Access function to provide strong commercial input to shape the access strategy for our Oncology portfolio in Singapore, including navigating evolving policies such as the Cancer Drug List and reimbursement schemes as well as dealings with the Agency For Care Effectiveness.

Ensure Credo-based leadership by embodying our J&J Credo and C.E.O Behaviors. and by conducting business activities in compliance with ethical and legal requirements.
People Management Responsibilities
Overall leadership and oversight of the Oncology Marketing and Sales teams for Singapore. You will own the local P&L and direct appropriate business unit resources to achieve the strategic and operational objectives.
Reporting Line
This position reports directly to the Area General Manager, JJIM for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia & Philippines (based in Singapore).
Qualifications

A minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience in marketing, sales, and leadership positions with a consistent track record of success.

University/Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.

Extensive knowledge and experience in the Singapore pharmaceutical environment.

Strong business acumen, strategic mindset and operational excellence, preferably in a complex and volatile market environment.

Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to drive change and inspire teams
-
Proven Ability to effectively influence and shape senior level business decisions.

Direct experience working in the Oncology therapeutic area will be highly regarded.
