THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting into the Business Unit Leader – Joint Reconstruction, this is an exciting opportunity to lead capital and implant sales across NSW and Victoria. You will take ownership of a high‑performing sales team of 20+, driving growth, market leadership and profitability across both states. As a visible, hands‑on leader, you will build deep customer partnerships, champion Key Account Planning (KAP), and work closely with Sales, Marketing and key stakeholders to exceed the business plan and unlock new opportunities.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute leader who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about developing people, customers and sustainable growth.
The role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead capital and implant sales across NSW and Victoria, developing and executing state plans aligned to national sales and marketing strategies.
- Lead, coach and inspire a sales team of 20+, including Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Managers and Sales Consultants, setting clear targets, expectations and development pathways.
- Own regional P&L and budgets, driving top‑line growth, profitability, SGP performance, OPEX control and distribution cost efficiencies.
- Act as contract lead for capital equipment sales, partnering closely with Business Development Managers and the Clinical Affairs Group (CAG).
- Drive unit growth, market share and profitability across existing and new customers through targeted, insight‑led account strategies.
- Champion Key Account Planning (KAP) by embedding the methodology, coaching leaders and teams, and leading regular account reviews to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Optimise regional resources and deployment, presenting business cases for alternative resourcing models where required.
- Analyse aggregated sales and account data to generate regional insights, strengthen integrated business planning and improve forecast accuracy.
- Ensure operational excellence and compliance, including timely reporting, expenses, training, HCBI/compliance requirements, adverse event and product complaint reporting, and adherence to SOPs.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, CAG and other state teams to share best practice, strengthen culture and maximise Joint Reconstruction opportunities.
ABOUT YOU

Degree qualification in a relevant discipline (preferred)

Experience in orthopeadic experience in a Med Tech organisation

Extensive sales leadership experience with a strong track record of delivering results

Business School or formal commercial leadership training highly regarded
