Job Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned product portfolio.
  • Identify new business opportunities, expand market penetration, and grow share within key accounts.
  • Develop and implement territory business plans aligned with national sales strategies.

2. Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, nurses, procurement teams, and hospital administrators.
  • Conduct product presentations, clinical discussions, workshops, and in‑service trainings.
  • Provide timely support during surgical procedures when required.

3. Product & Clinical Expertise

  • Develop deep understanding of J&J MedTech products, clinical applications, and competitive landscape.
  • Deliver accurate product information and ensure ethical, compliant promotion aligned with J&J standards.
  • Support clinical evaluations, trials, or conversions when needed.

4. Territory & Account Management

  • Maintain accurate account data, sales forecasts, and activity records using CRM systems.
  • Supervise market trends, competitor activity, hospital procurement cycles, and pricing dynamics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, customer service) to ensure seamless customer experience.

5. Compliance & Quality

  • Adhere strictly to J&J’s Credo, compliance policies, and all local regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and integrity in customer interactions.

Job Requirements

  • Preferably Degree or equivalent experience in Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in medical device sales; candidates with prior surgeon-facing experience are highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build long‑lasting professional relationships.
  • Comfortable working in the operating theatre during ongoing surgeries, with the ability to remain composed and focused in a high pressure clinical environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, especially in situations requiring quick assessment and decision making.
  • Ability to support occasional weekend activities when required for customer engagements or clinical cases, with appropriate rest periods provided.
  • Good understanding of surgical products and procedures.
  • Willing to travel within Klang Valley and occasionally beyond.
  • Hospital account management experience, including familiarity with purchasing patterns and procurement workflows in both government and private hospitals.
  • Previous experience engaging directly with surgeons (not physicians) in a professional or commercial capacity.
  • Orthopedic background is preferred, particularly candidates who have worked with implant companies and have supported orthopedic surgeons in surgical procedures.
