Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is hiring a Private Strategic Account Management Lead in our Market Access team department located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Role Purpose The Private SAM Lead is responsible for defining and driving the private expansion strategy for J&J portfolio in Saudi Arabia, with a strong focus on policy shaping, strategic payer partnerships, and engagement with top private healthcare customers.
The role supports the private reimbursement agenda, ensuring sustainable inclusion of products across private health insurance providers, CHI frameworks, and priority private hospital groups, while enabling business growth and long-term access predictability.
This is a strategic role, acting as the primary interface with senior payer decision-makers, shaping private policies, and guiding execution through cross-functional teams.
Key Accountabilities
1.
Private expansion Strategy & Policy Shaping:

Define the private market expansion strategy in Saudi Arabia, aligned with national healthcare transformation, CHI regulations, and J&J priorities.

Proactively engage with CHI and private insurers to influence reimbursement frameworks, listing criteria, and policy evolution impacting innovative products.
-
Anticipate policy changes and proactively position the portfolio to mitigate access risks and unlock new opportunities.
2.
Strategic Payer & Top-Customer Engagement:
- Act as the counterpart to executive decision-makers within:
Private health insurance companies

CHI & IA leadership and technical committees
-
Top private healthcare groups and flagship institutions
-
Build long-term, trust-based partnerships focused on value, sustainability, and patient outcomes.

Lead high-impact negotiations and strategic agreements where required.

Portfolio inclusion Leadership:

Lead the prioritization and sequencing of J&J products for private reimbursement, balancing value, readiness, and payer dynamics.

Ensure consistency and strategic alignment of private sector positioning across therapeutic areas.
4.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance:

Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration across Market Access, Medical, Pricing, Regulatory, Commercial, and Supply to deliver integrated private accounts management plans.

Provide strategic guidance and direction to operational teams supporting execution and tracking.

Ensure governance, compliance, and alignment with global and regional access principles.
5.
Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership:
- Serve as the internal expert on the Saudi private insurance ecosystem, providing insights on:
Payer behavior and decision drivers

Market trends and emerging reimbursement models

Competitive and policy developments

Translate insights into clear strategic recommendations for leadership and regional stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Medicine, or a related scientific discipline (Master’s degree preferred).

8+ years of experience in Market Access, Pricing, Policy, or key account Management within the Saudi pharmaceutical market.

Proven track record in private insurance reimbursement, CHI engagement, and payer negotiations.

Demonstrated experience engaging senior-level stakeholders and shaping access outcomes at a system level.

Strong strategic thinking, leadership presence, and ability to operate at executive level.

Solid understanding of Saudi regulatory, pricing, and reimbursement frameworks.
