Maintenance Supervisor

What you will do

Johnson Controls Inc. is searching for a highly qualified Maintenance Supervisor to maintain our facility, equipment and improve our business. The individual will be responsible for leading the maintenance team and systems, be an integral part of continuously improving the manufacturing process, and will provide input and actions towards executing long-term strategic plans.

Maintenance Supervisor Job Responsibilities:

Supervises a staff of thirty five that maintains systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, by restoring, repairing and rebuilding inoperative components and parts. Monitors procedures and equipment to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

How you will do it

• Supervise a staff of thirty five skilled trades individuals.
• Provide technical support and assistance to manufacturing and maintenance colleagues.
• Interface with the manufacturing team to build a cohesive relationship between maintenance, engineering and production.
• Supervision of maintenance department in order to efficiently achieve projects, reduction of equipment downtime and improve production efficiency.
• Ensure maintenance team adheres to all safety, quality, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Utilize the plant maintenance CMMS system to assign work orders and direct resources to meet plant requirements by coordinating maintenance activities across all shifts.
• Utilize operational data to drive improvement through equipment reliability and uptime.
• Oversee and ensure compliance to the maintenance preventive maintenance system.
• Assist in capital project planning and implementation.
• Participate in and/or lead simple problem solving/Kaizen activities. Utilize lean manufacturing skills to improve the manufacturing process.
• Support department/plant cost out initiatives.
• Manage contractor labor and contracts.

What we look for

• 5+ years experience managing people and a strong technical aptitude.
• Strong team building skillset.
• Previous experience supervising a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead a team through troubleshooting activities, providing direction and assistance as needed.
• Ability to lead a multi-shift operation.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excess, Powerpoint, Outlook)
• Autocad/Inventor experience a plus
• Experience quoting and directing contracted resources within a manufacturing facility.
• Ability to perform project management for capital projects.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $85,000 - $117,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data).
