What You Will Do Johnson Controls is hiring! We are seeking a Centrifugal Compressor Engineer I to join our centrifugal compressor engineering team based in New Freedom, PA. This is a great opportunity for and entry level engineering professional ready to build their professional career. Duties require applying mechanical engineering fundamentals to the design, development, analysis, and testing of rotating machinery and sub-components. This position is based onsite in New Freedom, PA. Candidates must be commuting distance to the facility, or able to relocate

How you will do it

You will be responsible for cost reductions, performance improvements, and enhanced reliability of new and existing products. This position reports to the compressor engineering manager and will collaborate closely with a multi-functional technical team to support overall product development initiatives. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with highly experienced senior engineers and staff within the department to become a subject matter experience in large centrifugal compressors for York brand water cooled chillers.

• Provide guidance to test operators and interface with compressor technicians.

• Perform data collection and analysis.

• Work collaboratively with other JCI engineering groups to develop new products.

• Interface with product managers, project managers, product technical support associates, and multiple international manufacturing plants.

• Assist in various assigned projects within the compressor engineering department as necessary.

• Bachelor's degree.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $90,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
