Role Summary:

Lead engineering for Industrial Refrigeration (IR) solutions at Johnson Controls. Own design standards,

innovation, compliance, and delivery for ammonia/CO systems. Drive productivity, safety, and customer

satisfaction while managing a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Define engineering strategy and standards for IR systems.

• Oversee design, calculations, equipment selection, 3D & 2D drawings, PFD, P&ID and compliance (IIAR, ASHRAE, ISO, ASME, PED or any relevant standard as applicable) for Pre-sales

Validation of equipment designs by using PVe Lite or equivalent software, system design, P&ID, Plant Layout, valves & controls etc. post order and release to manufacturing / projects / vendors.

• Drive innovation in energy efficiency, sustainability, and digital solutions.

• Ensure timely, high-quality engineering deliverables for projects.

• Manage budgets, resources, and talent development.

• Collaborate with Sales, Projects, and Service teams for support on engineering aspects; engage with customers and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• B.E./M.E. in Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering. Elective with Refrigeration and Air conditioning preferred

• 15+ years in IR/HVACR engineering; 7+ years in leadership.

• Expertise in ammonia/CO systems, process safety, and controls.

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and technical acumen.
