Pan-India Fire & Life Safety Manager – Service Provider
Job Description
Global Fire Life & Safety Section aims to ensure the safety of our employees and customers with necessary resources. The FLS Manager will be accountable for FLS compliance and oversight, inspection reporting, incident investigations, program management and website administration for properties.
The Pan-India FLS Manger, reporting to the Service Providers India Account Lead, and supporting the Service Providers APAC Regional FLS Manager, will be accountable for refining and developing of fire and life safety policies, procedures, regulatory, and legislative compliance within the Pan-India Region leading and supporting the India FM City leads and the India FLS City Mangers.
This position will require an in-depth understanding of corporate fire & life safety programs, fire infrastructure systems and operations experience.
Core Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the India FLS City Mangers for all Fire and Life Safety (FLS) matters across all sites in India, ensuring compliance and alignment with internal requirements and local regulatory requirements, and optimal performance.

Ensure all FLS issues are timely captured and remedial actions are followed up to completion. Working with Control teams to ensure FLS related compliance is maintained.

Responsible to lead and drive a reduction in false alarms, monitoring and analyzing fire alarm trends to implement control measures against the reduction baseline target.

Responsible to lead the effective implementation of the FLS Program and company initiatives across the Pan-India portfolio.

Responsible to lead and manage AED program including deployment and management of new and existing AEDs across the Pan-India portfolio.

Responsible to lead monitor and evaluate FLS Representative performance across the Pan-India portfolio.

Responsible to conduct annual oversight review on Site Specific Safety Plans, FLS Surveys & Checklists completed by FLSRs.

Ensure FLS incidents are correctly captured, managed and incident investigations conducted to determine incident root cause, follow up on remedial actions, preventive measures and lessons learnt for continuous improvement.

Ensure the Go/FLS websites are updated and accurate at all times.

Ensure standard operating procedures for managing FLS during facilities management (FM) operations are adequate and timely reviewed.

Ensure standard operating procedures for managing emergency response are adequate and timely reviewed.

Provide necessary training, guidance, and oversight to the FM Team(s) to ensure effective implementation of the standard operating procedures, FLS Program, and Global initiatives.

Work with the projects teams in relation to FLS infrastructures/equipment. and conduct project handover inspections to ensure FLS compliance and property suitability for occupation.

Oversee the effective implementation of emergency drills, and ensure post-drill review reports are completed to capture observations and areas for improvement.

Conduct regular FLS inspections across the Pan-India locations and ensure all corrective actions are completed to agreed timescales.

Prepare monthly FLS progress report for the India portfolio and proposed actions for continuous improvement.

Host monthly FLS governance meetings with the India FM City leads and the India FLS City Leads to ensure effective implementation of the Fire and Life Safety program and initiatives.

Monthly review to oversee recruitment of Fire Wardens and First Aiders are adequate and compliance with local regulatory requirement, and per Global FLS requirement to cover all operation shifts.

Lead FLS Representatives to promote FLS culture. Develop and drive effective Office Hours sessions and campaigns to attract and retain fire wardens and first aiders.

Education / Experience
· Minimum 10 years in Fire & Life Safety, fire service and fire systems operations experience.
· Knowledge with regulatory codes involving fire protection, building occupancy, emergency procedures, fire investigations, fire drills and training requirements.
· Expertise in Corporate standards, policies & procedures involving F&LS to ensure compliance within the appropriate regulations.
Qualifications
· Ability to work independently, high attention to detail, understand timelines, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
· Ability to travel if required.
· Computer proficiency: Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, Web and Share Point.
· Experience with the development of process documentation and internal control procedures.
· Familiarization and Experience in Fire & Life Safety systems.
· Emergency Response Procedures.
· Building Construction projects relating to fire & life safety measures.
· Knowledge of Regional (Pan-India) Fire & Life Safety Regulations and Standards.
