What this job involves:

As an Assistant Facilities Manager at JLL, you'll provide essential support to facilities operations while developing your expertise in commercial property management. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills in building systems management, vendor coordination, and client service within a collaborative team environment. You'll assist with daily operational tasks, support maintenance programs, and gain exposure to various aspects of facilities management from space planning to emergency response procedures. and development. You'll work closely with senior facilities staff to ensure building operations run smoothly while learning industry best practices and developing the technical and leadership skills necessary for career advancement in facilities management.

What your day-to-day will look like:

· Support daily building operations by conducting routine inspections and monitoring building systems performance

· Assist with work order management and coordinate with maintenance staff to complete preventive and corrective maintenance tasks

· Help manage vendor relationships by scheduling services, tracking performance, and maintaining accurate service documentation

· Respond to tenant requests and basic facility issues, escalating complex problems to senior facilities management as appropriate

· Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting, helping to maintain accurate financial records and identify cost-saving opportunities

· Support space planning activities and minor tenant improvement projects under supervision of senior staff

· Help maintain building documentation including system manuals, warranty information, and compliance records

· Participate in emergency response procedures and assist with business continuity planning activities

· Contribute to sustainability initiatives and energy conservation programs through data collection and implementation support

Required qualifications:

· 1-3 years of experience in facilities management, property management, or related field

· Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn facilities management software

· Excellent communication skills with professional demeanor when interacting with tenants and vendors

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

· Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for emergency situations or special projects

· Physical ability to walk buildings, climb stairs, and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed

Preferred qualifications:

· Previous experience in commercial real estate or corporate facilities environment

· Basic knowledge of building codes and safety regulations

· Customer service experience with demonstrated problem-solving abilities

· Interest in pursuing professional facilities management certifications

· Bilingual capabilities to better serve diverse tenant populations
