What this job involves:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Assistant Sales & Event Manager with a primary focus on driving sales to join our dynamic team. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for generating new business, managing sales leads, and maximizing revenue opportunities.
Venue Space Sales
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to generate new business and maximize venue space bookings
- Identify and pursue potential clients through various channels, including prospecting, networking, and partnerships
- Conduct market research to identify target markets, industry trends, and competitor analysis
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, track leads, and follow up on sales opportunities
- Conduct site visits and showcase the unique selling points of our venue spaces to prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to ensure profitability and client satisfaction
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted sales campaigns, promotional materials, and digital marketing strategies
- Manage the end-to-end billing cycle, from providing price quotes to issuing final invoices and payment received
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally
- Proactively communicate with clients to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling our venue spaces
Sales Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and sales-related documentation, including contracts, proposals, and customer records
- Monitor and analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and prepare regular sales reports for management evaluation
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities
- To prepare monthly static report, and provides management with special reporting and analysis on a departmental basis in a timely and accurate manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
Event management
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to define event objectives, scope, and requirements
- Prepare event materials with internal teams to ensure event run smooth
- Oversee event setup with clients, ensuring all elements are in place and aligned with the plan
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, addressing inquiries, and managing expectations throughout the event planning process
Interested? An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications:
Desired experience and technical skills
Required
- Holder of a recognized Degree, associate degree or Higher Diploma or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Hospitality, Event or Business Administration
- At least 3 years of direct sales and partnership experience and comfortable negotiating complex deals and key accounts
- Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in venue or hospitality industry
- Familiarity with sales techniques, prospecting, lead generation, and the sales process.
- In-depth understanding of venue industry, including market trends, competition, and customer preferences
- Ability to understand clients’ event requirements and translate them into suitable venue solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills to address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to effectively sell and close deals
- A self-motivated and proactive approach to work
- Good command of both written and spoken English & Chinese
