The Handyman is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance, repair, and upkeep tasks to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of a facility. This role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail to address a wide range of maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct general maintenance and repair tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.

• Perform routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, or areas for improvement.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely resolution of issues.

• Install or assemble equipment, fixtures, and furniture as needed.

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.

• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and purchases.

• Coordinate and collaborate with other team members, contractors, and vendors as required.

• Adhere to applicable safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest improvements in maintenance processes.

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment.

Candidate Specification

• Certificate in Vocational or minimum SPM, SKM

• Proven experience in general maintenance, repair work, or a related field preferred.

• Strong knowledge of general maintenance tasks in areas such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC systems.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.

• Proficient in using tools and equipment related to maintenance work.

• Good understanding of safety protocols and ability to work safely without supervision.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

·Physical Requirements: The Handyman role may involve physical work, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting heavy objects. Candidates should be able to meet the physical demands of the job and adhere to safety protocols.
