Engineering MIS Lead

• Job Description

Position Summary: Lead the Management Information Systems function for engineering operations, overseeing data management, reporting systems, and technology solutions that support engineering project delivery and business intelligence needs.

Key Responsibilities:

System Management & Development Oversee engineering-specific MIS platforms including project management systems, CAD data management, document control systems, and reporting databases. Lead system upgrades, implementations, and integrations with enterprise platforms. Ensure data integrity and system performance across all engineering applications.

Data Analytics & Reporting Develop and maintain executive dashboards, KPI tracking systems, and automated reporting for engineering metrics including project progress, resource utilization, quality indicators, and financial performance. Create ad-hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.

Team Leadership Manage MIS analysts and coordinate with IT teams on engineering system requirements. Provide training and support to engineering staff on system usage, data entry protocols, and report generation. Foster cross-functional collaboration between engineering, IT, and business teams.

Process Optimization Identify opportunities to streamline data collection, automate manual processes, and improve information flow. Establish data governance standards and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for engineering information systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field

• 5+ years MIS experience with 2+ years in leadership role

• Strong proficiency in database management, SQL, and reporting tools

• Experience with engineering software (CAD, project management, document control)

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

• PMP or similar project management certification preferred
