Job Summary/Goals

This position implements and supports the implementation of business intelligence solutions to meet business needs. This includes contributing to both ad hoc and routine reporting tasks.

A key part of the role is preparing and transforming data for presentation through reporting tools like Tableau. The role reports to the Senior Business Analyst.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Intelligence reporting (60%)

• Design and build dashboards in Tableau.

• Deliver ad-hoc reporting solutions and resolve any issues related to this.

• Document the reporting solutions.

• Maintain and administer BI Platforms.

Data transformation and data preparation (10%)

• Work with SQL Server Management Studio to access source data.

• Design and implement basic ETL processes.

• Maintain and administer all solutions developed.

• Design and execute data transformations in SQL for the needs of visual reporting.

Process and Performance Analysis (10%)

• Evaluate business process to translate it to reporting requirements

• Assess requirements and recommend best practices

• Help set-up performance and governance metrics

Relationship Management (10%)

• Engage with internal and external clients as required.

• Contribute to team initiatives and act as point of cover for the stakeholders.

• Develop network of key contacts and counterparts globally.

Innovation (10%)

• Maintain awareness of technology developments in the industry.

• Seek to improve presentation and performance of the produced outputs.

Key Performance Measures

• Development of BI reporting and analytical solutions.

• Effective delivery of solutions against documented business requirements.

• Ability to conceive coherent end-to-end BI solutions to meet requirements.

• Ability to work independently and communicate risks appropriately.

• Ability to effectively prioritise competing tasks and demands and meet expected deadlines.

Experience

• Experience of visual data analysis delivery in Tableau is a must

• Experience of visual data analysis delivery in Power BI is a nice to have

• Practical knowledge and demonstrable application of one or more of the leading RDBMS platforms (MSSQL Server would be considered as an additional asset).

• Experience in query languages (specifically SQL).

• Experience of working in an international organisation with multiple competing priorities and stakeholders.

• Fluent English.

Qualifications

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent

• Work experience in property, consulting, technology or analytics preferred.
