Senior Design Manager

JLL - Mumbai

About the Role

JLL is seeking a seasoned Interior Architect with 10-12 years of experience specializing in commercial office fitouts. This role demands a versatile professional who excels at balancing creative vision with technical precision while maintaining strong client relationships. Based in either Mumbai or Pune, the ideal candidate will help shape exceptional workplace environments across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end design processes from conceptualization through execution for commercial office fitout projects
• Develop innovative space planning solutions that maximize workplace efficiency and aesthetic appeal
• Create detailed technical drawings and construction documentation with meticulous attention to detail
• Foster strong client relationships through consultative engagement and exceptional communication
• Conduct regular site visits to oversee implementation and address technical challenges
• Execute value engineering to deliver optimum design solutions within client budgets
• Prepare comprehensive material and technical specifications for project execution
• Perform quality audits throughout the project lifecycle to ensure standards compliance
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery

Requirements

• 10-15 years of demonstrated experience in commercial office interior architecture/design
• Impressive portfolio showcasing excellence in workplace design concepts and execution
• Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, etc.)
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Mumbai and Pune commercial property markets
• Thorough understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Proven ability to manage project budgets and deliver cost-effective design solutions
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to present design concepts convincingly to clients
• In-depth knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methodologies
• Bachelor's or master's degree in interior architecture, Interior Design, or related field
• Willingness to travel regularly between Mumbai and Pune locations
