We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager with extensive civil engineering expertise to lead the construction of complex high-rise developments. This role requires a seasoned professional with proven track record in delivering iconic tower projects and comprehensive experience across structural and architectural construction verticals.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Management Oversee all phases of high-rise construction projects from pre-construction through final delivery, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Lead multidisciplinary project teams including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants while maintaining clear communication channels with all stakeholders. Coordinate complex construction sequences for vertical construction, managing multiple trades and specialized systems simultaneously.
Technical Excellence & Quality Assurance Apply advanced civil engineering knowledge to resolve complex structural and architectural challenges inherent in high-rise construction. Review and approve construction methodologies, temporary works designs, and specialized equipment installations including tower cranes, hoists, and building maintenance units. Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and international construction standards while maintaining the highest quality benchmarks throughout the construction process.
Risk Management & Safety Leadership Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies specific to high-rise construction environments. Champion safety culture across all project activities, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols at height and in confined spaces. Coordinate emergency response procedures and maintain continuous safety training programs for all project personnel.
Stakeholder Management & Commercial Oversight Interface directly with clients, regulatory authorities, and senior management to provide regular project updates and address concerns proactively. Manage contract administration, change order processes, and claims resolution while protecting project margins and delivery timelines. Coordinate with design teams to optimize constructability and value engineering opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Education & Professional Standing Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional certification preferred. Relevant advanced certifications in construction management, project management (PMP), or specialized high-rise construction methodologies highly valued.
Experience Requirements Minimum 18-20 years of progressive construction management experience with substantial focus on high-rise building construction. Demonstrated experience managing structural and architectural construction verticals including concrete work, steel erection, facade installation, and MEP systems integration. Must have successfully delivered at least one completed high-rise tower project of 50 floors or above from inception to occupancy.
Technical Competencies Deep understanding of high-rise construction methodologies including post-tensioned concrete systems, steel frame construction, curtain wall installation, and vertical transportation systems. Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project), and building information modeling (BIM) platforms. Strong knowledge of crane operations, material hoisting systems, and temporary works design principles.
Leadership & Communication Skills Proven ability to lead large, diverse project teams in fast-paced, complex construction environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities with track record of successful stakeholder management.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with IGBC or other green building certification processes. International project experience or familiarity with multiple regulatory environments. Advanced degree in Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or related field. Experience with Design-Build or PPP project delivery methods.
