Facilities Management Site Supervisor
Location: Paris, France
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Management Site Supervisor to join our team in Paris, France. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing both hard and soft services on-site, managing vendors, and driving continuous service improvement to ensure optimal facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage hard services:
- Oversee maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
- Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance schedules
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Supervise soft services:
- Manage cleaning, security, and reception services
- Oversee catering and vending operations
- Coordinate space management and moves
Vendor management:
- Select, evaluate, and manage service providers
- Negotiate contracts and monitor performance
- Ensure vendors adhere to quality standards and SLAs
Drive service improvement:
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions
- Analyze performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and execute action plans to enhance service delivery
Team leadership:
- Supervise and motivate on-site facilities team
- Provide training and development opportunities
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
Budget management:
- Monitor and control facilities-related expenses
- Prepare and manage annual budgets
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
Health, safety, and environmental management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
- Implement and maintain environmental sustainability initiatives
Stakeholder communication:
- Liaise with clients, tenants, and internal departments
- Prepare and present regular performance reports
- Address and resolve facility-related issues promptly
Candidate Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field
- Professional certifications such as FMP (Facility Management Professional) or equivalent are preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proven track record in managing both hard and soft services
- Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in facilities management software and MS Office suite
- Strong analytical and budgeting skills
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of building systems and maintenance practices
- Familiarity with French building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices
Language:
- Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken)
Personal qualities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proactive approach to service improvement and innovation
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
