Job Overview:
The Engagement Manager serves as a key contributor on client engagements, working closely with the Principal to deliver high‑quality outcomes and ensure client satisfaction. This role is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more functional or technical workstreams within Life Sciences Revenue Management.
The individual applies deep domain expertise across client engagements and internal initiatives, providing trusted guidance on industry best practices, solution design, and execution. They leverage experience across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and revenue management platforms to advise clients, resolve issues independently, and drive successful delivery.
The role frequently involves leading client‑facing workshops, presentations, and training sessions, as well as overseeing workstream resources and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Delivery & Leadership:
- Owns one or more project areas or workstreams, ensuring delivery quality and client satisfaction.
- Leads workstreams or small‑to‑mid scale projects; may serve as Overall Project Lead or Functional/Technical Lead.
- On large‑scale programs, serves as a sub‑workstream lead (e.g., Medicaid, Government Pricing, Testing, Contract Modeling, Cutover, Hypercare).
- Acts as a solutions‑oriented expert, applying consultative problem‑solving to address client challenges.
- Leads client‑facing presentations, requirements‑gathering sessions, and streamlined training workshops.
- Subject Matter Expertise
- Provides leadership and expertise across Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (MDRP) operations, including submissions, validations, dispute resolution, audits, and compliance.
- Advises clients on life sciences industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiencies.
- Navigates and troubleshoots revenue management applications with minimal oversight.
Team & Practice Contribution:
- Manages and mentors one or more team members within a workstream, ensuring successful completion of deliverables.
- Provides mentorship to junior resources outside of client engagements and contributes input to program leadership.
- Supports engagement timelines and delivery targets to meet broader practice goals.
- Participates in proposal development and supports business development activities.
- Represents IQVIA through strong professional performance and participation in thought leadership activities (e.g., expertise requests, conferences, blogs, white papers).
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree (MBA preferred); PMP certification a plus
Experience:
- 7–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or management consulting
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas, with working knowledge of others:
- Medicaid
- Government Pricing
- Chargebacks
- Master Data Management
- Managed Care Contracting
- Commercial Contracting
- Testing
- Integration Development
- Report Development
- Historical Data Conversion
- Direct / Indirect Sales
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to lead workshops, identify pain points, troubleshoot issues, and drive solutions.
- Broad understanding of the pharmaceutical/healthcare/life sciences industry.
- Experience with revenue management systems (Flex, Powered by N, Gross‑to‑Net) and related best practices.
- Strategic thinker with advanced analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; values collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Ability to self‑manage, prioritize effectively, and operate successfully in a fast‑paced, client‑driven environment.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $108,500.00 - $301,600.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
