Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Statistical Programmer to support the delivery of statistical programming activities for studies involving Danish health data. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on programming experience, and the ability to work with Danish Health datasets, documentation, and submissions. The position will contribute to the development of analysis datasets, TLFs, SAP localization, and various project deliverables across observational and PASS studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute programming activities for complex studies, including creation of statistical tables, and figures (TLFs), and analysis datasets (derived datasets).
- Develop, test, and document high‑quality SAS programs in accordance with study requirements and quality standards.
- Integrate data from multiple studies or sources, including Danish National Registries.
- Create and review programming specifications, dataset specifications, and related documentation.
- Support localized Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) for Danish data and ensure alignment with local standards and data structures.
- Support preparation of data applications and documentation submitted in Danish.
- Develop and validate programming macros, tools, and process improvements.
- Serve as programming lead on assigned studies, coordinating deliverables and timelines.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior programming staff.
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to meet project milestones and ensure high‑quality outputs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Life Sciences, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluency in Danish (spoken and written) — required for working with Danish data and documentation.
- 4+ years of experience in statistical programming within register based research.
- Advanced SAS programming skills, including Base SAS, SAS Macro Language, and SAS Graph.
- Strong understanding of Danish National Health Registries, and statistical analysis concepts.
- Proven ability to handle complex programming deliverables with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with PASS studies or real‑world evidence (RWE) studies.
- Familiarity with Danish health registers and national datasets.
- Experience with SAP localization or Danish regulatory submissions.
- Experience integrating large and complex observational/registry datasets.
