Position Overview:
The Study Grants / Clinical Trail Cost Expert is responsible for conducting Grant Plan and Fair Market Value (FMV) assessments for all Globally, Locally, and Regionally Supported Clinical Trials, Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs), and Research Collaborations (RCs). This role is integral in ensuring accurate budget forecasting and accelerating site contracting processes.
Accountabilities:
Grant Plan & Fair Market Value (FMV) Assessments:

Lead the translation of clinical protocol assessments into Grant Plans and FMV cost estimations

Develop FMV/Grant Plan Investigator Fees
-
Resolve FMV queries
-
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards in determining FMV
Budget Forecasting:
-
Provide accurate cost estimations, ensuring clinical operational and scientific requirements are reflected with accuracy

Improve Grant Plan estimates and reduce need for revisions
-
Identify cost savings utilizing cost data for estimations
-
Collaborate with Early Pricing Team to contribute to overall budget development
-
Maintaining accurate forecasting tools
Cross-functional collaboration:
-
Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure alignment with study objectives and budget constraints
-
collaborate with various leads to identify clinical/operational issues
-
Partner closely with teams to improve trial forecast management
-
Provide feedback on study protocol impacts
Qualifications:
-
BSc / Msc degree in Life Science
-
Knowledge and ability to apply ICH GCP and applicable regulatory guidelines
-
Relevant sponsor or clinical research organization clinical experience with country-level or site-level budget development, including awareness of clinical trial contract management
-
Experience with interpretation of clinical trials protocol assessments, budget negotiations
-
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, pricing management tools and databases (e.g. Grant Plan, Grants Manager)

Understanding of Fair Market Value concept and principles
-
Knowledge of budget forecasting and financial analysis.

Proven ability to exercise independent judgment, taking calculated risks when making decisions.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
-
Ability to work effectively in a global and cross-functional team environment.
