About the Role
As a Key Account Manager, you will play an important role in expanding our partners' biosimilar portfolio in Eastern Spain. You'll build and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders—including high-cost drug pharmacists, clinicians, and hospital managers—to maximize market penetration and product uptake. Your expertise in strategic account management, contract negotiations, and sales growth will play a critical role in advancing business objectives. You will work closely with colleagues to provide decision-makers with the essential insights they need to support the widespread adoption and prescribing of our partners' products. Additionally, you will collect and analyze key market intelligence—including competitor activity, treatment patterns, and prescribing criteria—to shape strategic business decisions. A core focus of this role is establishing our biopharmaceutical client as a trusted leader in the biosimilars and biologics sector, driving sales growth and expanding market presence through strong relationship management and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial activities within your specialist area across the Eastern region
- Build trust and collaboration with hospital stakeholders to promote biosimilar adoption
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure decision-makers have all necessary information for maximal adoption and prescribing
- Establish our biopharmaceutical client as a trusted partner in the biosimilars/biologics market
- Gather and report relevant information such as competitor data, treatment patterns, and product prescribing criteria
- Drive the achievement of sales and market share growth
Qualifications and Desired Experience
- Educational background in Life Sciences (e.g., Pharmacy, Biomedical, Medical and Public Health), or a Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Economics, or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager, with at least 2-3 years in a pharmaceutical sales role dealing with hospitals specialists and pharmacists in the region
- Strong background in hospital pharmacy negotiations
- Expertise in rheumatology, hematology, nephrology, oncology and biosimilars is highly desirable
- Fluency in both Spanish and English
- Willingness to travel within Comunidad Valenciana and Balearic Islands
- Full driving license essential
