Role
As a Product Owner - Data & Integration, you will play a pivotal role within the Belgian organization, supporting multiple business units by ensuring seamless client deliveries through robust and scalable processes. Reporting directly to the business, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the development of integrated software solutions tailored to our clients' data needs.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Core Objective:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement end-to-end software solutions that are driven by both internal and external customer needs, with data as the central element, that seamlessly align with IQVIA customer’s requirements ensuring efficient data flow, secure data consumption and full integration across technical and business domains.
Primary Tasks:
- Design and Development Develop software solutions tailored to internal and external customer needs, with data as the central driver. This includes understanding data structures, database models and data flows to ensure solutions are technically sound and aligned with business goals.
- Technical Risk Assessment Identify potential technical risks early in the development lifecycle and define effective mitigation strategies to ensure project stability and reliability.
- Debugging and Troubleshooting Perform root cause analysis and resolve software issues efficiently. Continuously improve existing solutions through proactive debugging and optimization.
- Documentation and Specifications Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including solution specifications, architectural diagrams and user support materials to facilitate knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
- Process Improvement Contribute to the refinement of development processes and standards, promoting automation, scalability and maintainability across solutions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts and other developers to translate functional requirements into technical implementations that meet client expectations.
- Support and Maintenance Provide timely and professional support for deployed solutions, ensuring high availability and performance. Participate in incident resolution and post-mortem analysis.
- Security and Compliance Ensure all solutions adhere to IQVIA’s data security policies and relevant regulatory requirements, especially in the context of healthcare data.
- Agile Participation Actively engage in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to backlog grooming and sprint reviews.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development and data engineering.
- Fluent in English and Dutch/French.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and backend technologies including SQL Server and the Microsoft .NET framework.
- Strong understanding of data integration, data modeling and database best practices.
- Solid grasp of data processing and analytical techniques.
- Experience with Git version control and Agile methodologies (Jira, Scrum).
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.

- Clear and effective communicator, capable of translating complex technical concepts into accessible language.
- Decisive and analytical, with a results-driven mindset.
