Job Summary

We’re a leading independent investment management firm seeking a globally minded Full Stack Developer to develop and innovate with our IDL Technology team.

In this position you’ll be expected to translate your ideas to your team and motivate them to execute, and to execute at the pace of technology —FAST. This position will be well-suited for someone who is a dreamer and executer who values speed and innovation. Do you love your work with building data pipelines to pull together information from different source systems; integrating, consolidating and cleansing data; and structuring it for use in individual analytics applications? If yes, this position will be demanding and will challenge you in the best ways possible, and we expect that if you truly love what you do, this position will enable you to do amazing things.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

• Work directly with the global business partners and stakeholders to understand data, API and front end requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs to integrate backend data services with web interfaces, ensuring seamless data flow and real-time updates.
• Develop reusable UI components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
• Work within a team of software developers and business analysts focused to deliver technical solutions to business partners
• Complete all tasks related to technical analysis, building and unit testing, quality assurance, system test and implementation in accordance with the Agile working model.
• Conform to documentation, coding and quality standards as defined.
• Understand client business and make recommendations and technology suggestions to solve problems and improve efficiency.
• Understand and propose architecture of applications in order to effectively troubleshoot problems and develop more efficient production processes
• Be prepared to carry out business analysis tasks to ensure that the development/change meets user requirements and expectations
• Should be willing to adopt Open source technologies
• Prepare for and support user acceptance testing
• Prepare all necessary documentation and processes to enable ongoing support of the systems
• Handle escalations from the support teams
• Should carry the on-call phone on a rotation basis

WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

• 3-6 years of Technology experience as Full Stack Developer
• Experience with front-end frameworks like React.js
• Ability to work with REST APIs and integrate backend services
• Good understanding SQL/Database/Data warehousing fundamentals
• Good hands on experience on Python
• Good to have knowledge in AWS(S3, lambda, Glue, etc.), Snowflake,DBT and Airflow.

• Comfortable working with ambiguity (e.g. imperfect data, loosely defined concepts, ideas, or goals) and translating these into more tangible outputs

FORMAL EDUCATION: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

• Bachelors / Masters in Computer Science or other similar advanced degrees from a top tier educational institution preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Normal office environment with a little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures
• The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary
• Work hours will be from 11:30AM to 8:30 PM IST and may include evenings and/or weekends
• Should carry the on-call phone on a rotation basis
