Primary Function of Position:

The Senior Accountant is a member of the Finance and FP&A department responsible for three production sites in Emmendingen, Biebertal (Germany) and Parvomay (Bulgaria). The position holder is responsible for all aspects of financial accounting and key accounting processes primarily related to the manufacturing site in Bulgaria with possibility to be engaged in activities for the German manufacturing entity.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Close liaison with our external accounting provider
• Management of all accounting related activities
• Cash forecasting for the Bulgarian legal entity
• Preparation of monthly reporting according to US-GAAP
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain General Ledger in accordance with Intuitive guidelines and accounting manual
• Preparation of annual statutory financial statements according to Bulgarian legislation
• Monitoring and Settlement of IC transactions
• Monitoring of AP process (coordination, bank clearing, payment run review)
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset Subledger
• Support of monthly VAT reporting
• Liaison with external advisors and statutory auditors
• Close collaboration with central accounting functions in Germany & USA
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and automation within our current accounting processes
• Ad-hoc reports and analysis

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Completed commercial education, ideally as accountant or academic degree with financial and accounting focus
• 5+ years professional experience in accounting
• US-GAAP and Bulgarian local accounting knowledge of advantage
• Strong communication skills, fluent in English & Bulgarian
• Excellent expertise in MS Office and SAP FI
• Strong analytical skills and numerical affinity
• Proactive and independent
