Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the controller function of ISJ.
• Execute smooth, efficient and accurate close processes.
• Ensure technical accounting and compliance with the Corporate policies and local/statutory reporting requirements
• Make sure compliance and internal control (SOX, FCPA and Bribery Act) are in place.
• Oversee treasury function by closely working with Corporate Treasury team.
• Manage all tax matters with a consultation of local tax agent and US tax team.
• Manage external audit and internal audit when required.
• Develop accounting processes for new products and business models by closely working with other functions and align them with corporate teams.
• Lead team members.

Skill/Job Requirements:

• A strong analytical thinker with 15+ years of combined technical accounting
• Medical Industry experience is Plus
• Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration/Accounting

C.P.A. is preferred but not required

• Strong and experienced knowledge in USGAAP as well as JGAAP
• Must possess strong leadership skills.
• A track record of operational excellence and strong cross-functional skills. Recognized as a “do-er” who is willing to work broadly to resolve issues in an inclusive way
• Experienced and high knowledge an industry-standard enterprise systems such as SAP
• High integrity and ethics standards
• Strong verbal and writing communication capability in both Japanese and English

Primary Function of Position:

Accounting Manager is responsible for all accounting matters in Japan. Primary responsibilities include supervision of smooth, efficient and accurate close processes complying with corporate policy & procedures and local statutory requirements. Accounting Manager is also responsible for key treasury and taxation functions in country. To set good examples and lead accounting team members is also an important task.
