The Virtual Expert Platform (VEP) team is at the heart of connecting our customers with expert guidance across all of our products. We drive a multi-billion-dollar Services business (e.g., Quick Books Live, Turbo Tax Live), enhance Customer Success through AI and human expertise, and provide Sales technology to connect with prospects and customers. VEP manages confi gurable, reusable capabilities that connect customers, small and mid-market businesses to all kinds of expertise, from self-help to live support. We collaborate closely with Product, Engineering,and Operations to create seamless experiences for both users and experts.
This role will focus on and build an already world-class design team, by galvanizing the team around a mission, building the team culture and helping to continuously elevate the craft of team members. Intuit has been design driven since its inception. Design-thinking (D4D) is at the core of Intuit’s process and is employed company wide to identify opportunities and iterate through to solutions. As a modern design leader, you are focused not only on people leadership but also creative directing the work with a deep passion for the design details. You will work with some of the world's top design and engineering talent to grow an amazing team doing their best work.
Responsibilities

Lead a world-class product design team while driving differentiation through design in an AI-powered landscape

Lead initiatives of signifi cant scope, complexity, and responsibility to drive creative vision, strategy, and execution

Deeply care about your own design craft, in service of building quality products for our customers

Drive outside-in, customer-centric thinking, doing, and building throughout the process – from vision and exploration to narrowing and curation of every touchpoint

Infl uence cross-functional leaders to think differently, while driving bold decision making in a matrixed environment

Foster a deep understanding and balance of customer, shareholder, and business needs
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors, Design Strategy, or equivalent relevant experience
-
At least 12 years of experience in Design, plus at least 5 years leading and managing a team of 5 or more product designers (or similar roles)

Strong communication (written, verbal, and visual), infl uence, and persuasion skills
-
Track record of leading design teams to deliver high quality and impactful design solutions
-
Deep knowledge of UX design process and design-thinking process
-
Passionate about designing customer-driven experiences
-
Experience planning and building a vision and strategy across functions
-
Strong business acumen and experience in managing multiple stakeholders and senior leadership expectations (preferably in a large corporation)

Knowledge and experience in delivering product design deliverables such as design prototypes, documentation, design specs, assets (web and mobile), or similar

A portfolio with relevant case studies and work examples Preferred Qualifi cations and Skillsets:

Proven effectiveness operating within a data-driven culture; experience collaborating in agile or a similar product development processes

Experience working within or defi ning design systems
-
Experience managing team members in multiple locations
-
Experience managing adjacent design functions, like Content or Service Design

Familiar with design tools (ex. Sketch, Photoshop or Illustrator)

Small to mid-market business or fi nancial software experience
