Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join Intuit’s AI, Research, and Futures organization to build AI/Machine Learning solutions that leverage emerging new technologies and capabilities and unlock entirely new AI-driven experiences for our customers. You will be part of a vibrant team of AI Scientists and MLEs and lead efforts to translate cutting-edge research into robust, scalable AI systems that deliver measurable customer impact.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy robust end-to-end ML systems that operationalize cutting-edge AI research into production environments.
- Architect scalable pipelines for data curation, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
- Accelerate innovation by building rapid prototypes and hardening successful approaches into reliable, high-scale systems.
- Ensure excellence in reliability, observability, and operational rigor through modern MLOps workflows (CI/CD for ML, model monitoring, retraining practices).
- Influence key architectural decisions to evolve Intuit’s AI platforms and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and security.
- Champion software engineering best practices, fostering technical excellence across the team.
- Mentor junior engineers, supporting their growth in AI/ML engineering and system design.
Qualifications
- MS / Ph.D. in Computer Science with focus on Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence.
- 5+ years of experience developing and deploying machine learning based solutions in production environments at scale.
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, performance complexity, and implications of computer architecture on software performance.
- Expertise in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala and proficiency with Coding Assistants like Cursor, Windsurf, or GitHub CoPilot.
- Experience with AI frameworks like Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Google Agent Development Kit, and Model Context Protocol.
- Basic knowledge of AI and Machine Learning principles especially Large Language Models and Multimodal Language Models with a focus on Natural Language Understanding and/or Computer Vision.
- Experience in designing and implementing highly scalable Machine Learning systems on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure that support millions of users.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audience and partner effectively with Data Scientists, Product
- Managers, Program Managers, and Product Development Engineers to build solutions that delight our customers
