This Quality & Reliability Engineer (QRE) is responsible for driving Intel's board & systems Outsource Design Manufacturers (ODMs) and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to meet Intel quality expectations through cultivating quality culture and ensuring appropriate quality business processes, systems and tools are in place and continuously improved.

Also responsible for ensuring ODM/CM suppliers and quality excursions are managed well during both NPI and HVM stages.

In this role, the QRE will be required to conduct ODM/CM site assessment/selection and own ODM/CM site/line certification by working with stakeholders to drive quality system readiness systemic gap closure prior to product qualification.

During high volume manufacturing, the QRE is expected to train the ODM/CM on Intel Quality Operating Systems QOS expectations, perform quality data analysis and monitor quality performance through quality review forums, various ODM/CM factory audits, manage quality excursions and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications Candidate must possess a Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering in Mechanical, Material or Electrical/Electronic with minimum 3-year experience in boards and systems manufacturing.

Candidate must have working experience leading technical issue problem solving and is familiar with IPC standards.

Additional Qualifications includes Engineering or quality engineering experience in ODM/OEM environment, direct working experience in or dealing with boards and systems factories is preferred.

Candidate must possess good communications skills both written and verbal in English, be self-driven, able to work in a multi-cultural environment with respect and good teamwork.

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills are essential, to drive strategies and tactics effectively with internal and ODM stakeholders.

Certifications such as Lean, 6-sigma green/back belt, PMP or certified quality auditor are desirable but not required.

Candidate should also be able to do short distance travels on a weekly basis to visit the factories.
