Job Summary

For our CSS division we are looking for a Tendering Support Engineer, who will support the bid and proposal process by providing technical expertise, engineering documentation, and solution development. Working closely with Tendering, Sales, and Engineering teams, the role ensures accurate interpretation of customer requirements and the delivery of compliant, competitive, and technically robust proposals for Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO) projects and customized solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support throughout the tendering process, ensuring timely delivery of technical content for proposals, quotations, and pre‑sales activities.
  • Review customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements to define the most appropriate technical solution and identify deviations, risks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Develop preliminary designs, sizing, system configurations, and Bills of Materials (BOM) to support bid preparation for ETO and customized systems.
  • Prepare and contribute to technical documentation such as engineering descriptions, solution overviews, and clarifications.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal engineering teams, product management, procurement, vendors, and project management to gather inputs and validate solution feasibility.
  • Provide engineering data needed for cost estimation, including material quantities, alternative solutions, design assumptions, and estimation of engineering hours for order execution.
  • Ensure proposed solutions comply with applicable standards, customer specifications, and internal guidelines.
  • Identify technical risks, propose mitigation actions, and support internal tender reviews.
  • Be available for face‑to‑face meetings with customers; ability to travel up to 10%.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields).
  • 1-3 years of Experience in technical support, tendering, pre‑sales, project engineer or engineering roles.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and ability to interpret technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical content into clear proposal documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools (especially AutoCAD) and MS Office Suite.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in the Oil & Gas sector, especially within complex or multidisciplinary projects.
  • Background as Project Engineer within an EPC contractor, with experience in technical coordination and project execution.
  • Experience in ETO (Engineer to Order) projects, custom‑engineered solutions, or bespoke industrial systems.
  • Familiarity with large‑scale industrial installations, plant engineering, or project‑based environments.
