zDIH Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking zDIH Infrastructure Engineer with experience in IBM z/OS, DB2/IMS, data replication technologies, Shell scripting, and API integration/support, responsible for supporting IBM Z-based data integration infrastructure, enabling reliable data movement across enterprise platforms, automating operational tasks using shell scripting, and facilitating API-based integration between mainframe and distributed systems.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Install, configure, and maintain IBM Z Digital Integration Hub (zDIH) components including Data Virtualization Manager (DVM) and Event Publisher.

• Troubleshoot zDIH connectivity, performance, and stability issues.

• Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts (Bash, ksh) to automate deployment, monitoring, configuration management, and operational tasks.

• Write automation scripts for log analysis, alert triggering, health checks, and scheduled jobs.

• Develop, test, and maintain REST API interfaces to expose mainframe data via zDIH endpoints.Ensure API security through authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, API keys, and mutual TLS.

• Manage Unix/Linux server environments supporting zDIH middleware components.

• Perform capacity planning, process monitoring, and tuning of OS-level parameters.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs. Engage with IBM support and coordinate PMR/case management for zDIH issues.

• Participate in 7x24 on call rotation.

• Foundational skills

• Mainframe skills (JCL/TSO/etc.), DB2/IMS on Z/OS in a data sharing environment

• Replication (IIDR CDC / CDA / Q Replication)

• Unix Shell Scripting (USS), API basics + troubleshooting

• Mainframe Security understanding

• Desired skills

• Python for automation, Monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace)

• Performance Skills a big plus, Programming background a plus, Ansible script, Java Script & MS Access skills are a plus

Education: Bachelor of Engineering
