Power BI Administration:
Administer and manage Power BI Service (tenant-level configuration)
Configure and manage workspaces, datasets, reports, and dashboards
Monitor system health, usage metrics, and capacity performance
Manage Power BI gateways (On-Premises Data Gateway)
Handle Power BI service updates and feature rollouts
Security & Governance:
Implement role-based access control (RBAC), row-level security (RLS), and data policies
Manage user roles, permissions, and workspace access
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements
Implement data lineage, auditing, and usage tracking
Performance & Optimization:
Monitor and optimize Power BI performance (datasets, queries, refreshes)
Manage capacity (Premium / Embedded) and resource utilization
Optimize dataset refresh schedules and memory usage
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
Data Connectivity & Integration:
Configure and maintain connections to data sources (SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Databricks, APIs, etc.)
Manage data gateways for on-prem and cloud data integration
Ensure secure and efficient data refresh and scheduling
Dev
Ops & Automation:
Implement CI/CD pipelines for Power BI deployment using tools like Azure DevOps
Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell / REST APIs
Manage version control and deployment strategies
Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide L2/L3 support for Power BI users and reports
Troubleshoot issues related to data refresh, performance, access, and connectivity
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues
Collaboration & Leadership:
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams
Define and enforce BI governance standards and best practices
Mentor junior admins and developers
Conduct training and support sessions for end users
Strong understanding of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling concepts
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Hands-on experience with Power BI REST APIs and PowerShell scripting
Knowledge of Azure services (ADF, Synapse, Azure SQL, ADLS)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git)
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Fabric / Lakehouse (good to have)
Exposure to other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik)
Knowledge of Python or R for analytics:
Familiarity with data engineering tools (Databricks, Snowflake)
Education: MCA,MSc,MTech,BCA,BSc,BTech
Preferred skills: Technology->Cloud Platform->Power Platform->Power BI
