Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and secure steel coils onto stamping presses using overhead cranes or forklifts in accordance with safety standards

  • Perform press setup, tooling, and die changeovers, including adjustments required to meet production and quality specifications

  • Conduct troubleshooting of press, tooling, and process issues to minimize downtime and prevent defects

  • Perform in-process inspections using precision gauges and measurement equipment

  • Complete first article inspections and ensure accurate documentation and approval prior to production runs

  • Accurately enter inspection, process, and quality data into Measur Link and related systems

  • Manage material flow, including staging steel and handling scrap removal, to support continuous production

  • Print, verify, and apply production and quality labels as required

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S standards

  • Participate in layered process audits and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Follow all rules, regulations and work processes set forth by the company

  • Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment always.

  • Hold self-accountable to create and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Competently perform all tasks with a focus on safety within a fast-paced environment.

  • Contributes to team effort by focusing on continuous improvement and success for the entire team.

  • From time to time, personnel may be assigned other duties for the purpose of training, additional assistance or for other reasons as needed necessary by management.

  • Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and equipment adjustments

  • Experience operating industrial equipment; forklift experience preferred

  • Ability to use basic computer systems for data entry and production or quality documentation

  • Ability to organize work, manage time, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Ability to maintain attention to detail and follow quality and safety requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and support personnel

  • Ability to safely perform job duties in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal work instructions and to complete required documentation

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • Availability to work overtime as required to meet business needs

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee could be exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
