Job Summary:

ITW Global Tire Repair is seeking a full-time Machine B Operator to manage filling and packaging equipment. This role includes tasks such as filling, labeling, packaging, and closing containers. Key responsibilities involve making minor adjustments, setting up, changing over, cleaning, and operating the machines. The operator will also validate and organize jobs according to the bill of materials and special instructions, conduct quality inspections at specified intervals, and ensure products are packaged correctly. Additionally, the role includes troubleshooting equipment issues, training operators, and adhering to Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality guidelines. The position reports to our Solon, OH office.

Job Duties

• Performs manually and/or tends machines which perform various packaging functions such as,filling, labeling, packing, blistering or closing containers.
• Responsible for minor adjustments, set-ups, changeovers, cleaning and general operation of various filling and packaging machines.
• Validates and organizes jobs in accordance with bill of materials and special work instructions based on current and future job orders.
• Responsible for conducting quality inspection of goods at the correct intervals, ensuring that product is packaged according to the work order.
• Ability to identify problems and assist in troubleshooting/training on the cardboard baler, plastic baler, carton erector, pallet jack, pick and place card/blister adjustments, taper/tape gun, and additional production equipment.
• Assists in training assigned full time/temp operators and assists other teams as needed.
• Forklift experience required.
• Promotes and follows all Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• 1-3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment; preferably automotive or bottling and packaging.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be certified to drive low-lift and sit-down forklift.

Compensation Information: Pay Rate: $20-22/hour depending on experience.
