Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished units according to standardized procedures, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
  • Use hand tools, small power tools, fixtures, and specialty equipment to complete assembly tasks.
  • Inspect parts and assemblies for proper fit, alignment, and functionality; make adjustments as required.
  • Perform rework, repair, or disassembly/reassembly of units that do not meet specifications.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when following detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
  • Report defective materials or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Meet daily production goals while ensuring high standards of quality.
  • Complete required documentation, including production records, checklists, and quality forms.
  • Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of mechanical assembly experience or equivalent technical training.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed work instructions, diagrams, and basic engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, small power tools, and measurement devices (e.g., calipers, gauges).
  • Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry components or assemblies typically up to 40 lbs.

Compensation Information:

$18.00 - $19.00/hour depending on experience
